The National Association of Floor Covering Technicians will hold its first in-person education, Substrate and Subfloor Prep Training, July 28-29, in Columbus, Ohio at America's Floor Source.
NAFCT recently released its Substrate and Subfloor Prep Certification, which is a three-step process. The first step is to take the online course comprised of seven lessons, each 30–45 minutes long, including wood subfloors and underlayment materials, wood subfloor construction, components of concrete, concrete subfloor construction and placement, concrete problems and causes, thick-pour gypsum underlayment and respirable silica. Prior to advancing to the next lesson, each person must take the accompanying quiz. The second step is to take a hands-on training course with an NAFCT Educational Partner, and the third step is to successfully complete the online final exam.
Registration for the training will open soon; to RSVP and receive registration information once it is available, complete this online form.
