Hardwood flooring imports increased 26% in August, reaching their highest level since 2019, ITTO reported. Total imports of hardwood flooring were up 40% year to date over 2020.
Hardwood flooring imports from Brazil jumped 39% month-over-month in August and surged more than 50% compared with August 2020.
Hardwood flooring imports from China and Indonesia increased 46% and 84%, respectively.
Hardwood flooring imports from Malaysia dropped 40% but were ahead 15% compared with last August.
Imports of engineered wood flooring rose 9% in August, the sixth consecutive month of engineered wood flooring import growth.
