WFB Briefs: Shaw Owner’s Profits Drop; Concrete On Grade Class

Berkshire Hathaway, the owner of Shaw Industries and Benjamin Moore, which owns Lenmar, reported a net earnings decline of 65.6% in the third quarter of 2021, falling to $10.34 billion compared with $30.14 billion during the same period last year. The company’s revenues for building products, which includes flooring, increased 12.4% to $702 million. The full report can be found here.



North Carolina State University will hold a course titled “Concrete Slabs: Design, Construction, Troubleshooting and Floor Coverings.” The course is scheduled for Dec. 3, 2021, and will be held both virtually and in-person at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center in Raleigh, N.C. Instructors include Andrew Rynhart of Tramex Moisture Meters and William Thornton of Tarkett Indoor Sports.
