64% of Small Businesses Say More Aid Needed from Washington

A new survey found that 64% of U.S. small business owners do not believe national policymakers are doing enough to support their recovery.

Alignable’s National Policy Poll found that only 10% of small business owners found policy makers were doing enough to help recovery, while 13% responded “Maybe,” and another 13% responded, “Not sure.”

Of industry groups participating in the survey, 81% of manufacturers said more help was needed from Washington for recovery, while 70% of construction workers and 65% of retailers said the same.

When asked how policymakers could help with recovery, 50% of small business owners said financial assistance, 37% said legal assistance, 11% said changing COVID regulations, and 2% said offering more business training.
