Gemini Coatings (El Reno, Okla.), an employee-owned wood coatings manufacturer, announced it has acquired Lenmar Wood Finishes and Coatings from Benjamin Moore.
The price of the acquisition was not disclosed in the announcement. Lenmar was founded over 65 years ago and was purchased by Benjamin Moore in 2008. Benjamin Moore is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
“We already have many established relationships with the Benjamin Moore network and are excited to add the Lenmar brand to the Gemini family of products,” Gemini Coatings President and CEO Chris Hicks said in a statement.
“This acquisition will enable current Lenmar customers to keep exclusive access to the products they have come to rely on, combined with Gemini’s sharply-focused sales and technical teams and broader product offering,” Hicks added. “With this acquisition, Gemini will expand its market share and drive efficiencies in our manufacturing plants.”
