WFB Briefs: Vietnam Aims To Double Timber Exports By 2025; Virginia Abrasives Distributors; American Coatings Show Concludes

Vietnam announced a goal of reaching $20 billion in total timber exports by 2025, doubling its current output, The Star reported. By 2030, the country aims to export $25 billion-worth of timber and forest products.


Virginia Abrasives (Petersburg, Va.) announced distribution partnerships with American Products Inc. (Ampro) and Oak Floor. Ampro has six locations in the southeast and Oak Floor services the east Texas and surrounding markets, as well as the Dallas metroplex. “It is an exciting time of growth for us at Virginia Abrasives, and we’re excited to add these fine partners,” stated Richard Wheeler, VP of sales for Virginia Abrasives.


The 2022 American Coatings Show concluded April 7 after hosting 365 exhibitors in 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. The three-day event drew 7,000 participants to the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. It was the first ACS event since 2018 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next event is slated for 2024.
