WFB Briefs: Canadian Housing Starts Jump 8%; FCICA June Webinars

Housing starts in Canada increased 8% in April from March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 267,330 units. Total urban starts increased 10%, while multi-unit urban starts increased 14% and single-detached urban starts increased 1%.

The Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA) will host two webinars in June. An education webinar, Wooden Subfloors and Finish Grade Panel Underlayment, will be held June 9 at 11 a.m. CST and be presented by Seth Pevarnik, director of technical sales, Ardex Americas. A product webinar, Sustainable Floor Renovation and Reducing Environmental Impact, will be held June 16 at 11 a.m. CST and be presented by Kirk Roberts, senior VP of strategic development, Bona US.
