Essex Finishing (Avenel, N.J.), a high-end and bespoke engineered hardwood factory flooring finishing company, is looking for a VP of sales and marketing with a proven track record in the hardwood flooring sector to develop and implement its North American go-to market strategy.
Essex Finishing is a leading tri-state, New England and Mid-Atlantic B2B provider of high-end hardwood flooring and flooring finishes to retailers and installers in the region. It is growing its operations and looking to expand its footprint across the U.S.
The company shared the following information about the position:
Job Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team in crafting the go-to-market strategy.
2. Actively implement the sales strategy.
3. Recruiting the right representation across the U.S., specifically in markets where we are underrepresented.
4. Identify and open key retailers across markets not currently served by Essex Finishing.
5. Manage key house accounts.
6. Supervise regional representation.
7. Create the marketing and sampling tools to ensure the success of the representatives and retailers across North America.
8. Participate in color, texture and finish decisions desired by the market.
9. Participate in trade fairs and conferences.
10. Supervise print as well as digital marketing and communications.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the high-end hardwood flooring sector and have deep knowledge of the key markets across North America.
2. Demonstrated ability to increase sales and penetrate new markets
3. Up-to-date with current market trends.
4. Working knowledge of hardwood flooring species and constructs.
5. Working knowledge of stain colors, finishes, and textures.
6. Possess strong relationships with key retailers across the U.S.
7. Ability to travel to local markets as needed.
