The Floor Covering Institute LLC announced Don Finkell has joined the organization as a business strategy consultant.
FCI stated the addition of Finkell will bolster the organization's portfolio of capabilities offered to its global flooring clients.
Finkell comes to the position with decades of experience in the hardwood flooring industry. He became CEO of Anderson Hardwood Floors in 1988, growing it before it was sold to Shaw Industries in 2007, when he became Shaw Hardwood’s CEO. In 2013, Finkell founded American OEM in Tennessee, which has since become part of AHF Products.
Finkell has also served as chairman of the Hardwood Federation, the National Wood Flooring Association and the Decorative Hardwoods Association.
