WFB Briefs: Hardwood Plywood Imports Grow 12% in Value in 2022; PID Floors Opens New Jersey Showroom

U.S. imports of hardwood plywood increased 12% in value to approximately $2.1 billion in 2022 compared with 2021, according to an analysis by the Decorative Hardwoods Association. The volume of hardwood plywood imports declined 0.3%, however. The year started off with huge increases in hardwood plywood imports that slowed during the second half of 2022.


PID Floors (New York) launched an open concept flooring showroom at The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, N.J. The location will serve as a “satellite version” of PID and be helmed by one of the company’s hardwood flooring specialists. Along with its flagship showroom in New York City, PID Floors also has locations in Boston and Miami.
