Olde Wood Launches Plywood Manufacturing Company

Olde Wood Ltd. (Magnolia, Ohio) announced the launch of Re-Core, a plywood manufacturing company.

The company made the decision to begin producing plywood cores following the shortages of the material brought on by the pandemic and Russian war in Ukraine. Approximately half of Olde Wood’s customers purchase its engineered product, which consists of a 4-mm-thick veneer adhered to ¾-inch or ⅝-inch plywood, according to the company.

Olde Wood met with engineers and equipment manufactures and recently designed and installed specialty manufacturing equipment at its existing Magnolia facility. The equipment will be able to produce one panel of plywood every 18 seconds.

“This innovative, European-inspired manufacturing line is only the second of its kind in the United States and the first here in the state of Ohio,” the company stated.
