Fishman Flooring Solutions (Baltimore) appointed Shane Richmond president of the company, effective immediately.
Richmond succeeds Bob Wagner, who has transitioned to chairman and CEO of L. Fishman & Son Inc., the holding company of Fishman Flooring Solutions.
Richmond joined Fishman Flooring in 1997 as assistant manager of the companyâs Raleigh, N.C., branch. He most recently served as VP of operations.
âWe have been preparing for this transition for many years,â Wagner said in a statement. âWe have used that time to ensure that Shane gained meaningful experience in managing all elements of our flooring business. There is no doubt that he will excel in his new role based on that foundation and the support of our executive team, which collectively has more than 100 years of experience in the flooring industry.â
Richmond is the fifth president in the distributorâs 104-year history. The company currently has approximately 265 employees and 40 branches.
