Subcontractor Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $500K of Flooring

North Haven Police Department.Subcontractor John Escobar was arrested by North Haven, Conn., police for allegedly stealing almost $500,000 of flooring materials, according to the North Haven Police Department. An investigation revealed that Escobar, who worked as a subcontractor for a local flooring company, stole the materials over the course of several years. After detectives obtained a search warrant for an address in New Haven, Conn., they found close to $500,000 worth of flooring and materials and arrested Escobar on Feb. 7. He was changed with larceny, released after posting $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court.
