U.S. Hardwood Flooring Imports Fell 11% in January

Hardwood flooring imports in the U.S. declined 11% in January, with imports from Indonesia plummeting 46% and imports from Brazil down 23%, according to ITTO.

Year-over-year, overall hardwood flooring imports in the U.S. were down 23%.

Engineered wood flooring imports declined 14% from December overall, with a 30% drop in imports from Thailand and a 28% decline in both Vietnam and Brazil. Compared with January 2023, however, overall engineered wood flooring imports in the U.S. were up 29%, strengthened by imports from Canada, which grew 41%.
