• AJ Rose Carpets and Flooring of Saugus, Mass., visited the Kennebec Lumber Company hardwood flooring plant in Solon, Maine, for a sawmill tour. While on site, they learned how a hardwood log is processed into hardwood flooring. • Mullican Flooring is encouraging people to contribute to a NWFA Education and Research Foundation Named Scholarship Fund in Don Conner's name. Conner passed away in October 2022 after a lifetime in the wood flooring industry. A total of $20,000 will meet the eligibility requirements for the scholarship, which permanently honors an individual who made significant and lasting contributions to the industry. To date, approximately $12,000 in contributions have been received in Conner’s honor.
