Eric Larouche Lauzon Lauzon Distinctive Hardwood (Papineauville, Quebec) has promoted Éric Larouche to executive vice president. Larouche joined Lauzon in May 2023 as vice president of forestry operations and sawmilling. He has over 16 years of experience in vice president roles in the manufacturing and construction industries.

Larouche will "focus on improving the synergy between our different divisions, ensuring optimal use of our resources, and enhancing our corporate culture. As chief operating officer, he will be working on optimizing the manufacturing operations," the company stated.

There were 305,000 construction job openings on the last day of June, a monthly increase of 14,000, and year-over-year increase of 81,000, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey.
