Huntsville, Ala.-based Drake State Community and Technical College is launching a free flooring installation course to boost local workforce development.
Skills for Success – Flooring Installation Technician will consist of an online course and hands-on labs at Drake State led by flooring professionals.
Participants will receive a recognized credential and gain connections with local and regional employers, addressing the growing demand for skilled flooring technicians, the college told Huntsville Business Journal.

Participants will be selected on Sept. 6, with online coursework beginning shortly after. The hands-on labs will take place from Sept. 19 through Oct. 11.
