WFB Briefs: Floor & Decor Opens Maine, Ohio Stores; Residential Construction Jobs Grow 1.9%

The residential construction industry added 63,100 jobs between August 2024 and August 2023, an increase of 1.9%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Floor & Decor announced the grand opening of its first warehouse location in Portland, Maine. The store will be located at 490 Payne Road with a team of about 50 full-time and part-time employees led by Jack Low.The flooring retailer is also opening its second warehouse location in the Cleveland area. The Cuyahoga Falls location will be at 510 Howe Avenue.
