Residential flooring pros are experiencing 4.4 weeks of delay before starting new projects, according to the Houzz Subcontractor Backlog Index.
The index tracks wait times in weeks before a company can start work on a new midsize project.
“Labor shortages are a leading challenge among residential builders, remodelers and designers. Houzz research shows a range of three to six weeks before subcontractors can begin work on a new project, with the most significant backlogs among masonry and cabinetry services,” Houzz Staff Economist Marine Sargsyan said in a statement. “These wait times highlight the need for careful planning and coordination to ensure timely project completion.”
