Fishman Flooring Solution’s holding company L. Fishman & Son (Baltimore) purchased the northeastern flooring supplies distributor WJ Grosvenor.
The transaction brings together two of the oldest flooring distribution firms in the U.S., Fishman Flooring Solutions said in a release. Fishman Flooring Solutions opened in 1919, and WJ Grosvenor opened in 1910.
“Over the past several years, we have considered several acquisitions, but they were not the right match for our business and our culture,” L. Fishman & Son CEO Bob Wagner said in a statement. “WJ Grosvenor, however, with its outstanding team of experienced employees in the flooring marketplace, is a terrific fit with our business, and we are eager to join forces to win in the marketplace beginning immediately.”
WJ Grosvenor will continue operating under its current name for the foreseeable future.
