The World Floor Covering Association acquired Flooring Consultants & Inspection Training Services.
FCITS is the longest-established flooring inspection certification organization, with over 2,000 trained inspectors and 500 active certified professionals across North and South America, the organization said.
“Joining forces with the WFCA will allow us to enhance our training programs and provide even greater support to inspectors and the businesses they serve,” FCITS President Beth Brown said in a statement.
FCITS will retain its identity in the acquisition, but the acquisition will align FCITS with the Certified Flooring Installers program to establish a unified training pathway, the organizations said.
