Kährs Group (Nybro, Sweden) reported a net sales decline of 16% in the first quarter of 2025, dropping to SEK 541 million (USD 56.2 million).
Operating earnings amounted to SEK 22 million (USD 2.29 million) in the first quarter, 55.73% less than SEK 39 million (USD 4.06 million) in the first quarter of 2025.
Kährs' order intake decreased marginally by 1% in the first quarter compared with the previous year. The order backlog continued to grow by 1%.
“Consumer sales are showing signs of recovery, driven by increased interest in home renovations,” CEO Johan Magnusson said in a statement. “The segment in Europe is strengthening thanks to lower inflation and interest rates, which promotes purchases of durable goods such as flooring. We have continued to strengthen our positions and are growing compared to the previous year in several key markets, primarily within the renovation segment.”
