2025 U.S. Houzz Emerging Summer Trends Report
‘Wood drenching,’ an interior design trend in which wood is used extensively throughout a room, is emerging as a popular interior design choice, according to the 2025 U.S. Houzz Emerging Summer Trends Report.
The report shows homeowners were searching to add more wooden accents to their homes, including walls, floors and furniture.
Searches for “living rooms with light hardwood floors” increased by five times from the first quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2025, while “wood paneled offices” and “woven wood shades” increased by nearly 1.5 times each.
White oak storage solutions also gained traction, with kitchen cabinets searches up 46% and bathroom vanities up 20% from the first quarter of 2024.
