PID Floors received the 2025 Top Residential Project in the U.S. award for its Stone Harbor beach house project during this year’s Flooring Sustainability Summit Project Design Awards.
The Flooring Sustainability Summit Project Design Award Program celebrates excellence in sustainable design, recognizing residential and commercial projects that showcase innovative, sustainable flooring solutions.
The Stone Harbor beach house was produced through a zero-waste operation. The finishing was done by hand, eliminating the additional use of energy, and the flooring’s three-layer construction uses fewer adhesives, resulting in a sturdy yet sustainable build, PID says.
The flooring used adheres to the California Department of Public Health 01350 standard V1.2 for homes, the most stringent benchmark for VOC emissions.
