The American Hardwood Assured platform for European Union Deforestation Regulation compliance will be freely available starting July 31 to any U.S. organization in the American hardwood export trade.
The AHA platform, created by the American Hardwood Export Council, will produce data to confirm that U.S. hardwoods are legally sourced and deforestation-free, which is needed for EUDR compliance.
Using geological and forest governance data, the platform includes a point-and-click tool to select the U.S. counties where the logs in each export are harvested. It then prepares standardised AHA Statements for each shipment.
Instructions on how to register and use the platform are available at www.hardwood.us.
