American Sports Builders Association to Host Gym Floor Schools in Fall

The American Sports Builders Association will host an indoor sports surfaces gym floor sanding school and a gym floor paint and finish school this fall.

Attendees of the sanding school will learn how to use a sanding drum, drive a riding floor sander, apply sealer to a gym floor and put on a rubber base coat. The school will also provide safety and electrical basics of sanding equipment and gym floor sanding theory.

Attendees of the paint and finish school will learn how to lay out volleyball and basketball courts, apply vinyl stencils, apply game lines and logos and apply finish.

The Indoor Sports Surfaces Gym Floor Sanding School takes place Sept. 29–Oct. 2 at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch in Billings, Mont. Capacity is limited to 12 participants, with two per company.
