The Somerset Fire Department battled a fire in a sawdust silo for five hours at Somerset Hardwood Flooring in Somerset, Ky., the Commonwealth Journal reported.
The dense sawdust in the enclosed silo made for a difficult battle, the Somerset Fire Department said in a Facebook post, adding that crews used copious amounts of water, ventilated the silo and raked the sawdust.
The sawdust fire was likely caused by a spark from machinery or spontaneous heating, Fire Chief Bengie Howard told the Commonwealth Journal.
No one was hurt in the fire and there was no significant property damage.
