Sherwin-Williams Company has announced its 2026 Colormix Trend Forecast Anthology Volume Two, predicting icy pastels, warm red and brown hues, neutrals and rich, dark colors.
The forecast comprises 48 hand-selected hues in four palettes, including “frosted tints, sunbaked hues, restorative darks and foundational neutrals.”
Colormix is Sherwin-Williams' biennial forecast of up-and-coming colors for residential and commercial design in 2026.
The frosted tints include hues of "hazy lavenders, gauzy blues, enchanted aquamarines, and refreshing greens breeze." These colors are particularly effective in bathrooms and healthcare spaces.
The sunbaked hues include "glimmers of yellow, earthen mauve and pink sandstone," which will be popular in hotels and restaurants.
The restorative darks include "tones like shadowed gold and coppery red, dark plum, alluring burgundy and nocturnal blues," and will work well in office workspaces.
The foundational neutrals are "clean white, light taupe, silvery gray and crisp khaki." Sherwin-Williams predicts these colors will dominate educational spaces.
