WFB Briefs: Riva Prize, Pacific Hardwoods Redesign, Valinge Asia Event

Riva Spain (Miami, Fla.) and AIA Miami announced Alfonso Hernandez, founder and principal architect of AHA, as the winner of the 2025 RIVA Prize for Excellence in Sustainable Design, which celebrates U.S. architects who demonstrate innovation and a deep commitment to sustainability. Hernandez won for his Styx Alley project.

Pacific Hardwood (Orange, Calif.) has redesigned its website with faster navigation, design inspiration galleries, instant access to request samples and quotes, and educational insights.

Välinge Innovation (Viken, Sweden) recently hosted a series of in-depth Välinge Connect sessions and hands-on demonstrations for key international flooring companies at its Support Centre in Kunshan, China. “It was a privilege to welcome leading flooring importers, distributors and retailers to our Kunshan facilities and demonstrate how our technologies and services enable partners to raise product performance and deliver better customer experiences,” said Magnus Holgesson, Regional Manager Asia at Välinge Innovation, in a statement.
