Home Price Growth Picks Up in Q2

Existing home prices rose in 80% of the roughly 235 metro markets tracked in the second quarter of 2026, according to the National Association of Realtors, up from 71% in the first quarter.

The national median single-family existing home price was up 1.5% year-over-year at $434,900, up from the 0.5% gain in the first quarter.

Regionally, median single-family home prices were up 3.8% year-over-year to $547,200 in the Northeast, up 3.6% to $340,800 in the Midwest, up 1.0% to $380,000 in the South and down 0.8% to $637,900 in the West.
