The Dixie Group (Dalton, Ga.) reported second-quarter net sales of $68.6 million, essentially flat with a year earlier, and net income from continuing operations of $1.1 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, down from $1.3 million.

Frierson said sales strength was concentrated in higher-end lines, including the company's Fabrica wood program in its hard-surface offerings.
