
Shaw Industries (Dalton, Ga.) announced Monday that Vance Bell will assume the chief executive officer role effective immediately, following the departure of Tim Baucom. Bell will continue to serve as chairman in addition to CEO.
Bell joined Shaw in 1975 after working for West Point-Pepperell and earning a degree in industrial management from Georgia Tech. He was named chairman and CEO in 2006, succeeding Robert Shaw, and served as chief executive until 2021 when Baucom took over. Bell has worked in numerous areas of Shaw throughout the decades, including sales, marketing, manufacturing and operations.
In a statement, Bell thanked Baucom for his contributions to the company during his 34-year career at Shaw.
