Contractor Killed After Alleged Pricing Dispute with Homeowner

A contractor was shot and killed in Spanaway, Wash., after an argument with a homeowner over pricing, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Officers arrived at the home the afternoon of Aug. 28 after calls about a shooting and found the 52-year-old contractor dead inside the home where he had been doing tile work. The homeowner and contractor had reportedly argued about pricing for the tile work, and the contractor threatened to destroy the tile. The homeowner then allegedly shot and killed the contractor, according to the sheriff’s department.

The 62-year-old homeowner was arrested and booked into jail for first degree murder, according to the sheriff’s report. The investigation is ongoing.
