The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) will host educational sessions at booth 2157 during The International Surface Event (TISE) in Las Vegas. As of this year, WFCA has also made its primary memberships free to join. Its associate membership remains unchanged. Those interested can sign up at booth 2157.
The educational sessions will focus on industry issues, and each will be held simultaneously Jan. 28 and 29 at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. They include the following:
Solving the Installation Crisis - Be a Part of the Solution: Scott Humphrey, CEO of WFCA, will discuss the organization’s newly founded, industry-wide effort to solve the installation crisis and the newly formed foundation, the Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF).
Technology and Your Store: Lewis Davis, senior director of technology and research for WFCA, will discuss how adding efficiencies through technology.
The Law, the Floor, and You - Legal Issues that Impact Your Business: Jeff King, general counsel for WFCA, will share his expertise and discuss pressing legal issues that will impact businesses now and in the coming year.
Cyber Liability/Data Breach for the Flooring Retailer - Am I at Risk and How do I Protect Myself?: Stacy Eickhoff from Risk Strategies will provide an overview of the risks retailers face, common misconceptions surrounding what constitutes a breach, who is responsible, and steps to take to protect yourself.
