Mystery Marks in the Wood Floor

Have you come across marks this when you go to resand a wood floor? Do you know what they are?

Carpet Stretcher Marks

They are from an inexperienced carpeting installer using a carpet stretcher. The marks will not sand out and usually run about 1/16 inch deep:

Sanded Marks

Unless you can match the wood and do board replacements, the best you can do is fill them before the new finish:
