But, the house is a nasty home with dog droppings and pee smell so bad that you can smell it 10 feet from the front door. The smell really is that bad!

But, the house is a nasty home with dog droppings and pee smell so bad that you can smell it 10 feet from the front door. The smell really is that bad!
We had to replace 60 feet and resand about 130 feet to make it all look right. They wanted the entire house sanded so it would all "blend," but after being in that house for a half hour we told them we could make it look good without sanding the whole house and just sanding the repaired area. I cut in headers in the hall doors so we could stop and match the resanded area to the old area without lacing in the floor. Honestly, it looks great and the four hours of labor to drop in the headers saved a fair amount of money because we did not have to sand the house, pay for movers to get the stuff out, and pay for storage.
And, we did not have to mess with that mess of a house. The floors look like dog pee and the owners think that sanding them will remove the stains ... only a fire will do that in this house. Sorry, folks, I am not trying to be ugly, but it is a nasty home. We have the damaged area looking great and we want to do be done in two days. Tear out, repair subfloor, install, sand and finish, plus hang the trim in two days. It will be done-no ifs or "But, boss…" on this job-I want out of this house!
