Back on my Back

Well, I did it again: The two bulging discs in my back are giving me fits, so here I sit. I went to Saw Bones (the chiropracter) to get adjustments, and he did the trick, but my body hurts from the quick movements.

I did some tile repair till about dinnertime bc the new refrigerator was moved in and chipped some tiles. We realized that when we did the install around doors we did not cut them tight enough, and when the trim went on you could see a gap. I hate that but it happens, but, per all the classes I have been in, I did the best thing to do: admit the mistake and fix it. I did, and the lady was somewhat taken aback because I said, "Sorry, our mistake, please allow me to fix it."

Well that was the day, then off to the doctor. Yesterday I cut them out and today installed them. Joey and Ray-Ray got done with the install they started yesterday, and they did a great job. That is the one where I posted the video of us having to sweep the carpet padding. The wood was so stained with mold and pee stain that it had to come out. I put in a header in the doorway to have a stopping point and it looks good. The strangest thing is the way the flooring lined up, we did not try to do that, it just did. The homeowner thinks we are the best around because the fireplace is half out, plus the room is out of square, but still we were able to line it all up ... dumb luck is what it was, because we were just letting it fall where it would fall. We are letting it set for a few days to become one floor, then I will sand and stain it.

I got a call for an estimate-yay, more work! Hope we get the job. The funny thing is that she said I have to come when her husband is not home: He does not know she is doing this. OK, I hope he does not come home when we do the work ... that could be a reality moment made for TV.

Going to bed now and hope that I can rest.
