I have no idea where to start; I have been working long days just to get ahead of the next few weeks. We have been slow, and keeping the crews going has been hard. All of them have been putting in for jobs around the area with no real luck ... but now all of them have been called in to start new jobs.

I have Joey and only him right now, so we are going to get as many jobs done as we can, because he will be going in Tuesday for an interview with the railroad. Six years together and now we are all getting split up ... folks, that just is not fun.
I have picked up a few jobs, but they all small: 600 feet, 300 foot and 310 feet, but that is not going to keep four men working. Next week we do have 2,500 feet of resand, but it is in Jackson. Joey and I want to get it done in the week so if he gets the railroad job I will not have to do it alone. In the last week and half we have done pad & recoat or sand & finish for about 15,000 feet-one roller rink at 10,000 feet and the rest was small jobs all about the area. If you want an '80s flashback check out the quick video I took of the roller rink after we were done:
I have got to say that we are cutting hay when the sun shines...even in the dark. I was installing trim today making my cuts in front of the house with a trouble light to see my marks.
I did do two more estimates, but I am not sure if they will go with it, they were thinking that because times are hard they might get someone to drop the price to get work. Hello, the price of everything has gone up but you want folks to work for less-how silly is that? I will give them the standard price and see what they say ... or don't say.
I am going to start looking for folks to train, but I want to make sure that we have enough work to keep them working. It is thin right now, so to be fair to everyone, I will work alone for a few weeks and see what comes about. Ray-Ray said he may not be able to deal with the new job; it is factory work and we are not inside pets. We all say the same thing: It is so nice to have the freedom that being a floorman brings.
Well it is late, folks, and I put in 13 hours today, so I ask two things: forgive me for not posting the last few days and please understand that I am working like a one-eyed cat watching two holes.
