The last floor in the remodeled NWFA offices is done, and what fun it was:

These pictures are from Michael Martin's office, where we had walnut herringbone. As you can see, it was an easy sand and finish, but with all the windows, it was a hard one to hide the scratch. Walnut is so soft that if the machine leaves a hard scratch, it takes a ton of extra work to hide it.  The install was done, so my task (with some help in the evening from my buddy Todd McDonald, in the photo on top) was to get it flat and smooth. For the finish we did Monocoat with one coat of universal maintenance oil buffed in; it gives the walnut a wonderful rich, flat look.
