As a floor guy, it's hard to get used to using gloves, so my hands are always getting stain on them. A recent job we did was no exception.
Except that on while we were on the job site, the customer cooked bacon for her kids. Boy, I was hankering for a BLT! The pan with the grease sat on the stove all day, teasing me with the smells! So anyway, we stained the floor coffee/antique. (Looks great! There was over 3,000 feet of 20-year-old hand-scraped floors, and we were able to restore them to better-than-new condition.) Back to the stain and the lack of gloves … As you can imagine, my hands were black with stain. Except I thought: Why not use that bacon grease as a natural hand cleaner! Guess what? It worked perfectly! Amazing...
