NeoCon Attracts 42,899 Attendees

Exactly 42,899 people attended The Merchandise Mart's NeoCon this year, 4 percent more than took part in the annual commercial design show last year, according to event organizers. More than 700 showrooms featured their wares in more than 1 million square feet of space, and thousands of new products were revealed during the show. Despite evidence of a slower-than-hoped-for housing recovery, attendees said the show was evidence of an upswing in the economy and contract furnishings industry, according to organizers.
