HF Briefs: Wood Science Education; ForestTECH Registration; More

The Flooring Inspectors Education Guild will hold a wood science class at NWFA headquarters in St. Louis on May 31-June 3. This class will be a departure from previous courses in that it is developed for people across the wood flooring industry, not just inspectors. Topics will include engineered flooring manufacturing and construction, and wood anatomy and moisture relationships. For an expanded overview, visit Hardwood Floors' calendar page. To register, contact Selva Tucker at [email protected] or call (864) 238-5507.

Early-bird registration for ForestTECH 2011-a trade show devoted to new technology for forest managers to be held Dec. 1-2 in Albury, Australia, and Dec. 6-7 in Rotorua, New Zealand-will close Oct. 28. More information on the event can be found on the show's website, and a flyer and registration information can be viewed on this flyer.
