Along with its full slate of wood flooring installation, sand and finish schools, the NWFA has planned two NWFACP Wood Flooring Inspector schools for next year. The first school will be held March 19-23 in Las Vegas and the other Sept. 17-21 in St. Louis.
The school is divided into two sections. The first four-day section is designed to prepare wood flooring professionals to take the NWFACP Certified Inspector exam. Topics will include report forms, performance standards, moisture, grades, manufacturer-specific issues, sand and finish, installation, bond fasteners, report writing, and serving as an expert witness. The second section consists of a four-hour closed-book written exam, as well as two take-home inspection scenarios. Reports based on the scenarios are due 10 business days later.
