Convinced its wood flooring products are works of art, Mafi America Inc. Corp. (Venice, Calif.) recently teamed up with custom manufacturer surfboard Tim Bessell to create a surfboard.
Mafi America CEO Nic Neuman said inspiration to create the surfboard came from the ocean, but we're more convinced the true inspiration came from Mafi's wavy Beech Vulcano Fresco Duna flooring, which won the company a Red Dot Design Award honorable mention in 2009.
The board is "destined for the walls of surfers and fine art aficionados alike and certain to make a splash with the style- and surf-loving L.A. crowd," according to Mafi.
