The forum will be held on at 8-9:45 a.m. on April 12, the final day of the Expo. The event will feature leaders from throughout the wood flooring industry and related organizations, providing the latest updates about issues ranging from Lacey Act legislation to election predictions.
Here's a rundown of the forum participants and what they'll cover:
- Mark Barford, executive director of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, will provide an outlook from the U.S. lumber market.
- Pamela Bowe, executive director of FCB2B, will discuss technology that can make your operations more efficient.
- Jim Gould, president of the Floor Covering Institute, will provide insight on the latest flooring trends from a global perspective.
- Tom Inman, president of Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, will talk about the latest Life Cycle Analysis studies and the sustainability of wood.
- Linda Jovanovich, executive vice president of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association, will discuss the marketing success of the American Hardwoods Promotion.
- Linda Kramme, manager of the Global Forest & Trade Network of the World Wildlife Fund, will discuss the network's worldwide responsible sourcing efforts.

This year's
wood flooring expo has been totally re-launched. Along with the
nearly sold out trade show, the event will feature a
keynote address from Ken Schmidt on April 11-plus, one lucky attendee will leave the show as the proud owner of a new H-D motorcycle. And if that wasn't enough, HGTV star Carter Oosterhouse will
host this year's Wood Floor of the Year awards on April 12.
