Responding to increased lumber and raw material costs, Mohawk Industries (Calhoun, Ga.) announced Friday it will raise prices 6 percent on solid and select engineered wood flooring products.
The company will raise prices on its Mohawk-branded wood products with shipments on Dec. 21. The company will raise prices on its Unilin products-including the Columbia Flooring and Century Flooring brands-on Jan. 1.
"Our company remains committed to providing innovative, market-driven products in conjunction with exceptional service," said Bob Leahy, senior vice president of hard surfaces, Mohawk Industries. "Unfortunately, continued increases in lumber and raw materials are outpacing our productivity initiatives."
