Wood Flooring Mill to Open in Crandon, Wis.; Hires Todd McDonald

New wood flooring manufacturer Infinity Wood Floors in Crandon, Wis., has hired Todd McDonald and Michelle Belland as national sales manager and inside sales/customer service, respectively. Both previously worked at WD Flooring; McDonald most recently had his own contracting business based in Livonia, Mich., and he will be a part owner of the new company.

Infinity was started in early 2012 by owner Pat Tallier as a wood flooring marketing company and is currently finishing construction of its own wood flooring mill, which is slated to start production mid-December and be fully operational as of the first of the year. The company will produce solid unfinished strip and micro-beveled prefinished strip in Northern Wisconsin species including hard maple, red oak, white oak, yellow birch, red birch, ash, walnut, cherry and hickory.

A Wisconsin Northwoods native, Tallier previously worked at Superior Flooring and WD Flooring before starting Infinity. "We're seeing a lot of opportunity in terms of growth again," he says, adding that customers are "looking for a really high-end product," and Infinity seeks to fill that need.

Infinity plans to sell through distribution and will launch a trademarked line of wood flooring at the NWFA Wood Flooring Expo in Dallas April 2-5.

The company can be reached at (715) 889-0717 or by visiting www.infinitywoodfloors.com.
