Mullican Flooring's (Johnson City, Tenn.) domestic wood floors can now be labeled "From U.S. Renewing Forests," a program offered by the National Wood Flooring Association. The label signifies that Mullican is a participant in NWFA's Responsible Procurement Program (RPP) and can verify that all domestic lumber used during production comes from sustainable forests. Mullican is a charter member of the RPP, and Mullican president Neil Poland has served on the RPP governing board. RPP companies commit to sourcing an ever-increasing percentage of their wood from forests certified according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) with the goal of eventually qualifying for the FSC label.

"Having the opportunity to use the logo is important to us, and we strongly advocate the ideals of the program," said Brian Greenwell, Mullican's vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.
