Tree-Themed Beer Raises Money for Tree Replanting

Here's a great fund-raising idea that brings together two things close to many wood flooring professionals' hearts: trees and beer. WZZM in Grand Rapids, Mich., reports that brewers in the city, dubbed "Beer City, USA," are brewing tree-themed beer using ingredients from local trees, and one dollar from the sale of each beer will go toward the Grand Rapids Urban Forest Project, which plants trees in the city. Seventeen breweries are participating, and some of the beers being produced include "Pine Tar IPA," made with pine and maple sap, and "Linden Tree Flower Pale Ale."
