Schönox Awards Winners of ‘Worst Subfloors in America’

HPS Schönox (Florence, Ala.) awarded first, second and third place in its Worst Subfloor in America contest with enough of the company’s SL product to cover a combined total of 160,000 square feet of flooring.

At an estimated 85 square feet of coverage per bag, that’s a little more than 1,882 bags of the drying, smoothing and finishing compound.

Prizes were given to the contractors who repaired the worst subfloors using Schönox products.

The ceremony, which took place at The International Surfaces Event West in Las Vegas last week, awarded Pavilion Floors (Woburn, Ma.) with first place and enough Schönx SL to cover 100,000 square feet of flooring.

Pavilion Floors repaired a 90-year-old subfloor in a student housing facility.

Second place and enough SL to cover 50,000 square feet of floor went to Integrity Floors (Dallas). Third place and enough product to cover 10,000 square feet went to Redi Carpet (Kennesaw, Ga.).
